News: Haw Par Villa’s operating hours extended

Jun 10, 2019

Visitors now have more time to wander the park’s 10 Courts of Hell.

Haw Par Villa’s operating time has been permanently extended by three hours – giving visitors more time to wander the park’s 10 Courts of Hell as well as explore its 1,000 Technicolor sculptures and dioramas, reported The New Paper.

The park, which previously closes at 7pm, will now be open from 9am to 10pm. Entrance to the park is free.

Site manager Journeys noted that the best time to visit Haw Par Villa is in the evening as the park’s lighting features has now been improved.

“We want to offer visitors a surreal and enchanting experience as night falls in Haw Par Villa. Not only is the park particularly beautiful as the sun goes down, it also allows visitors to experience its beauty in comfort in cooler weather,” said its spokesman.

Journeys revealed that it is working with event organisers to host regular events at the park during evenings, particularly at weekends.

Shawna Tan, a 24-year old human resource assistant, looks forward to exploring the park during its extended operating hours.

“It’ll be like having a year-round Halloween park, but one that is free,” she said.
